ARTICLES NOT ACCEPTED
Unless otherwise provided, the following property will NOT be accepted for shipment:
1: Bank Bills, coins or currency, deeds, notes, drafts or valuable papers of any kind, jewelry, postage stamps, letters or packets of letters, precious stones, or articles of peculiarly inherent or extraordinary value; precious metals or articles manufactured therefrom. Should such articles come into the possession of the carrier without its knowledge, responsibility for safe delivery will NOT be assumed.
2: Explosives, dangerous goods or property liable to impregnate or otherwise damage equipment or other property will NOT be accepted for shipment.
3: Household pets will NOT be accepted for shipment.
A: Articles of fragile or breakable nature must be properly packed.
B: Packages containing fragile articles or articles consisting wholly or in part of glass, when packed by the shipper or his agent, must be marked by plain and distinct letters designating the fragile character of contents.
C: When articles of furniture, consisting wholly or in part of glass are covered or wrapped by the shipper or his agent, such articles shall be wrapped in a manner to clearly expose glass surfaces or glass portions.
D: When shipments are improperly, insecurely or unsafely packed, crated or boxed and therefore liable to be destroyed or damaged, in the carrier’s opinion, the carrier will arrange to have such shipments properly packed. Regarding labor for such packing, the rates and charges of Item 2050 shall apply to mileage rated shipments; the rates and charges of Section 3 shall apply to hourly rated shipments.”
